'Spurs Are Losing To Who?' - Tottenham Have Just Lost A Game You Didn't Even Know Was Going On

Tottenham have been brutally mocked by rival fans after the club suffered a shock defeat to Pacos de Ferreira in their opening Europa Conference League match.

Spurs booked their place in the final qualifying round of the inaugural UEFA tournament after finishing seventh in the Premier League.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men travelled to the Estadio Capital do Movel in Portugal on Thursday for their first-leg tie against Pacos.

However, Tottenham were left red-faced as Lucas Silva fired Portuguese side Pacos into the lead before half-time.

One Arsenal fan said: “No matter how bad we are, Spurs always find a way to out banter us.”

Someone else tweeted: “I shouldn’t laugh, but mate, Spurs are losing to who!?”

A third Twitter user posted: “Spurs are losing to a team who I thought was a fancy dish you get in a restaurant.”

While a fourth added: “Tottenham beating Man City [and] then losing to Pacos is the most Spurs thing to happen.”

And a fifth added: “I’m crying, man. The Europa Conference has so little juice that no-one even cares Spurs are losing to Pacos [right now].”

The second-leg clash will be played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 26th August.
