Tottenham boss Nuno Espírito Santo reportedly feels let down by midfielder Tanguy Ndombele who is looking to force a move away from the club.
24-year-old Ndombele was brought to Spurs in the summer of 2019 by Mauricio Pochettino, claiming the Argentine manager was 'one of the best', playing a big influence in his decision to sign from Lyon.
The £55m pound man started well and has been praised for his performances by Spurs fans last season. Since arriving from Wolves, Nuno feels the player hasn't given enough in training after coming back to pre-season and seems to be focused on a move away.
Speaking on a View From The Lane podcast, Jack Pitt Brooke, a journalist for The Athletic, says he has heard the Frenchman has his eyes set on a move to one of Europe's elite.

"“I don’t think he wants to [play for Spurs]. He has asked to leave which is why he is not in the team,” Pitt-Brooke said. “The problem is I think he has unrealistic expectations about where he might go. I gather that Ndombele is under the impression that Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are queueing up to sign him. But Madrid and Barcelona don’t have any money, it’s going to be very hard from Ndombele to get this move that he wants."
It remains to be seen what the future will be for Ndombele, with rumours suggesting a move for 18-year-old Metz midfielder Pape Matar Sarr is close.
It is a difficult hand for Nuno to play. On one hand will be looking forward to the window closing at the end of August. Harry Kane, the Tottenham captain as we know is also looking to move away. The Portuguese manager will also want things resolved if players are to move on so he can actively seek replacements before the window slams shut.
