A Twitter thread has supposedly 'exposed' Pep Guardiola as 'one of the biggest frauds in football'. This comes after his recent elimination from the UEFA Champions League.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has come under extreme scrutiny ever since his side were knocked out by Lyon in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

The Spaniard has won 30 trophies in just over 11 years as a manager, the most this century. With teams such as Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and currently with Man City, Pep has showed everyone that he is one of the best managers in football history.

However, even though Guardiola owns the points record in every single league he's managed, a user on Twitter has supposedly 'exposed' Guardiola for being 'one of the biggest frauds in football'.

A profile by the name of @ClockEndJamesXI has made a thread of his findings which are honestly laughable.

Calling Guardiola a supposed 'inheritance merchant' which means every team he joined had already been constructed for him to take-over with.

Even though when he took over Barcelona and won his first treble at the club with players already there such as Lionel Messi, Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Yaya Toure, Victor Valdes, Carlos Puyol, Samuel Eto'o, and Thierry Henry.

Albeit missing out that Guardiola then went on to have a more dominant season in 2011 when he sold a few of these players and brought through players such as Sergio Busquets, Pedro, Gerard Pique, Dani Alves, and David Villa with the first three costing a combined £2 million.

However, the majority of this thread is based off mindless rhetoric with terms such as 'UEFAlona', his supposed racism towards African players, and the very unproven theory of Guardiola hiding the use of steroids in his players.

If statistics and actual success was used throughout it would show that Pep Guardiola is only the current manager who matches up to the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Rinus Michels as one of the greatest of all-time.

Guardiola only trails Ferguson and Mircea Lucescu in total trophies won, only two behind Lucescu while being an insane 19 behind Ferguson.

The best thing to do is to value the fact we get to see one of Football's greats manage at such a high level rather than create arguments without evidence about how he is 'one of the biggest frauds in football'.

Where do you think Pep Guardiola rates in the best managers in history?
