Jamie Carragher And Gary Neville Name Their Teams Of The Decade

By Mike Parrott
Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher named their own Teams of the Decade. The Sky Sports Pundits only added one Manchester United player and only three Chelsea players over the Decade.
The 2010's is coming to an end in just over a Month and with 2020 just around the doorstep, Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville have created their own Teams of the Decade.
Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville have each named their PL team of the decade. They have both named the same 5 City players in each one; Zabaleta, Kompany, Yaya Toure, David Silva and Sergio Aguero. Do you agree? Would you argue for any other City players over these picks? pic.twitter.com/AjfoulmQ7n

Neville's team consists of: David De Gea, Pablo Zabaleta, Vincent Kompany, Virgil Van Dijk, Cesar Azpilicueta, Eden Hazard, Yaya Toure, David Silva, Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero, and Luis Suarez.
Carragher's team consists of: De Gea, Zabaleta, Kompany, Van Dijk, Azpilicueta, N'Golo Kante, Toure, Silva, Gareth Bale, Aguero, and Hazard.
The biggest surprise is the lack of Manchester United players in both teams. With Man United winning two Premier League titles and three second place finishes, you'd argue more United players should be in the teams.
Robin Van Persie in the past Decade won one Premier League title, two PL Golden Boots, and became PFA player of the year in 2012. Arguably a better Decade than either Kane, Suarez, or Bale.
On this day in 2012, Manchester United signed Robin van Persie from arch rivals Arsenal for as little as 24m. He went on to play a huge role in our 2013 Premier League campaign.

However, Trophy-less players such as Van Dijk, Suarez, Bale, and Kane are included throughout both of the teams.
Manchester City end the Decade with the most Premier League trophies with four to their name, narrowly beating out Chelsea's three. The trophy haul is shown in both team with five Manchester City players named in both teams.

PFA Player of the Year winners of the past Decade such as Riyad Mahrez, Van Persie, Wayne Rooney, and Mohamed Salah miss out on both teams.
Chelsea legend John Terry actually responded to these teams with disbelief when he hadn't made either team. Terry won three Premier League titles in the 2010's and is one of the only players to play every minute in a title-winning season.
