Bayern Munich Are Now The Fifth Most Successful Team In Europe

By Mike Parrott

Bayern Munich have moved up to fifth in the rankings of the most successful clubs in European competitions after winning their sixth UEFA Champions League against PSG last night.

Bayern Munich were able to continue their incredible run throughout the UEFA Champions League to take home their sixth Champions League trophy and complete their second-ever treble.

The Bavarians beat Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 after a goal from Paris native Kingsley Coman.

Bayern become only the second team ever to complete two separate treble seasons, matching Barcelona who did it in 2009 and 2015.

This momentous occasion now puts them joint third with Liverpool for most Champions League trophies, only behind AC Milan on seven and Real Madrid with an insane 13.

However, in terms of total European trophies, this puts Bayern Munich joint fifth, after leapfrogging Ajax last night.
