Sancho contributed to his side's Premier League victory on Thursday, forcing Ben Mee to score in his own net.
He's slowly starting to show his potential at Man United following his mega £73 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
The England international scored his first goal for his new club against Villarreal last month before bagging against Chelsea.
But Henry wants more from the 21-year-old, urging him to be 'lethal' and take on defenders instead of cutting inside.
Speaking on Amazon Prime after Man United's 3-1 win, he explained: "Those are the types of players you want to watch but he is playing within himself.
"When you are in a one-on-one, you should take a player on. But it was Luke Shaw who was forcing him to take on those one-on-ones."
The Arsenal legend added: "What happened to beating your man on the outside? They often want to go too much inside. Just beat your man on the outside and be lethal."
Scott McTominay, who starred in midfield, and Cristiano Ronaldo also got on the score-sheet, with Aaron Lennon pulling on back for the visitors.

"It was important today to raise the energy level," the German said "The whole team performance was a lot better, I was pleased with the performances of our wingers - Jadon did well.
"Mason [Greenwood], Eddie [Edinson Cavani] and Cristiano [Ronaldo], the work effort was amazing."
