The dreaded international break never normally serves up much goodness and fans are desperately waiting for club football to resume.

However on occasion, you will get some mouthwatering fixtures and some goals that will light up what is typically a dull period.

And Wilfried Zaha has done just that today.

The Crystal Palace winger recently switched national team allegiance to Ivory Coast, the place where he was born.

Zaha, who played for England at youth level, did make two appearances for the Three Lions first-team squad but because they were only in friendlies, he was eligible to represent his roots and made three appearances for Ivory Coast in the African Cup Of Nations.

And judging by the piece of magic he delivered today, Zaha isn't doing too badly in the change of scenery.

Les Éléphants played against Russia in a friendly and goals from Aston Villa striker Jonathan Kodjia and Zaha did the business.

Kodja struck in the first half and Zaha wrapped up the win in style.

After drifting into space in the opposition half, the 24-year old zipped past four Russian defenders before cheekily dinking the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper.

Watch the goal here:

Palace fans will be hoping that he carries on the same vein of form when the domestic season returns.
