Besiktas and Benfica played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the other early Champions League kick-off. At half-time the Portuguese side were absolute cruising when goals from Goncalo Guedes, Nelson Semedo, Ljubomir Fejsa gave them a healthy 3-0 lead at the break.
Yet a breathtaking acrobatic volley from Besiktas forward Cenk Tosun in the 58th minute completely changed the complexion of the game.
After a deep cross came from the right, Tosun adjusted his body wonderfully before smashing the ball on the volley, giving Ederson absolutely no chance in the Benfica goal.
Absoutely ridiculous technique from the 25-year old. Besiktas went on to salvage a point, with late goals from Ricardo Quaresma and Vincent Aboubakar seeing the Turkish side pick up a point.
