Frank Lampard bagged a dramatic brace as New York City claimed a vital win over DC United in the MLS moving them top of the Eastern Conference in the process.
The 38-year-old is doing bits in the States with a performance reminiscent of his glory Premier League days while proving his worth for Patrick Vieira's side.
After the Mayor's Office proclaimed Sept. 1 to be Frank Lampard Day in honor of his 300th career goal, the Chelsea legend subsequently scored not one but two goals in the dying stages of the game eventually winning 3-2 in a spirited comeback.
Lampard now has 11 goals in 16 appearances this season to go with his 302 career goals. Not bad for a midfielder.
