For years now there's never been any sort of investment in international breaks in the middle of the season. For many, it disrupts the flow of club football and there are rarely international matches that are entertaining, except for when tournaments come around.

But England U-20's showed last night that international breaks aren't all that bad with the goal they scored against Netherlands U-20's at SportsDirect.com park.

Keith Downing's side scored a goal to open the scoring in the game that Barcelona would have been proud of; a 14-pass move finished with an emphatic finish by Manchester City's Celtic loanee Patrick Roberts.

Watch it in all its glory below.

The Under-20's won the Four Nations tournament game 2-0, with Adam Armstrong, on loan at Barnsley from Newcastle, also getting on the scoresheet. USA and Germany are also competing in the tournament, with the Germans picking up a 1-0 victory.

England and Germany will square off in the final of the competition on Friday in Huddersfield.

Let's see if Under-21's or Gareth Southgate's senior side can follow suit with a bit of 'total football' in their respective games.
