Watch: Diego Forlan Scores A Peach Of A Free-Kick

He loves a belting free-kick.

Diego Forlan isn't getting any younger but the Uruguayan's expert set-piece abilities aren't going away.

You could be forgiven for thinking he'd hung up his boots by now given that he's been around for what feels like forever and the fact he's gone off the radar a bit following his last few career moves.

The well-travelled striker joined Hong Kong champions Kitchee FC earlier this month and has wasted no time in showcasing his supreme talents, curling in a beauty from around 30 yards out against BC Rangers

Pick that out! A vintage free-kick from the former Atletico Madrid and Manchester United striker, who served up so many great set-piece efforts over the years - including some belters in the 2010 World Cup.

Forlan had been without a club for over a year, but is now playing in Asia for the third time in his decorated career.

He turned out for Indian Super League side Mumbai City in 2016, with the spell ending very briefly. Prior to that, he played a season at his boyhood club Penarol in Uruguay, following on from a stint at Cerezo Osaka in Japan.

The joint Golden Boot winner in the 2010 World Cup, where he scored five goals with the controversial Jabulani football, he is also a two-time recipient of the European Golden shoe.

In 2004/05, he shared the award with Thierry Henry after netting 25 goals for Villarreal before besting everyone else four years later when he bagged 32 for Atletico Madrid.

We're backing him to supply even more goals in Hong Kong, but at the same time, are curious to know if there will ever be a time where he's not playing football professionally? I'm not sure he'll ever retire from football.
