Robin Van Persie Proves That He Still Has It With This Brilliant Free-Kick

He may be closer to his 40s than 30s, but Robin van Persie is still curling them in like his 25-year-old self at boyhood team Feyenoord in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Premier League fans are no strangers to seeing van Persie hit the net - and now Dutch supporters can once again enjoy one of their top strikers turning dead balls into goals.

With only a short while to go before half-time, Feyenoord found themselves a goal behind in a tightly poised game.

This free-kick was positioned in perfect Robin territory. His sweeping left foot lifted the ball over the wall and too far in the corner for Zwolle keeper Mickey van der Hart.

See for yourself.

Despite van Persie's best efforts, title chasing Feyenoord were dealt a blow to their league efforts. Zwolle went on to win 3-1, which almost certainly puts them out the race with second-place Ajax and current champions PSV Eindhoven.

He has so far repaid his club's faith in him since re-joining in January last year. van Persie has seven goals in 13 league games this season - as well earning Feyenoord's captaincy.

But the days of seeing the Dutch talisman hit the net are numbered. He announced in October last year that the current 2018/19 season will be his last.

Until then, keep scoring goals like this, Robin.
