Roma weren't supposed to beat Barcelona, never mind come from three goals down to do it and the noise at the Stadio Olimpico at the final whistle shows just how incredible a night the fans had witnessed.
Teams don't tend to come from three goals down to win games, even when they have another 90 minutes to do so playing in a Champions League second leg. In fact it had only happened twice before tonight.
Deportivo overcame a three deficit against AC Milan in 2004. The Italian side won 4-1 in the San Siro but a three goal first half salvo in the second leg wiped out their lead and Depor even grabbed a fourth to make sure of the win.

Last year Barcelona did the seemingly impossible, they trailed 4-0 to PSG after the first leg and Edinson Cavani's second leg goal gave them everything to do. Three goals in seven minutes turned everything around though with Barca winning 6-1 on the night.
This season though it is Barca's turn to collapse. They won 4-1 in the Camp Nou but on Tuesday night they fell 3-0 to Roma thanks to an 82nd minute goal from Manolas.
The sound and scenes at the end of the game were incredible, and who can blame Roma fans for reacting the way they did:
Roma were already one of the surprise packages in the quarter finals. They came through a tough group with Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, coming top and setting up a second round match with Shakhtar, which they snuck through on away goals.

No one would have expected them to beat Barcelona and now that they'll be joined in the semi-finals by Liverpool and likely Real Madrid and Bayern Munich they'll once again be unfavoured to progress.
Based on tonight's performance you underestimate them at their peril.
What a night for them and their incredible fans.
