Watch: Stephan El Shaarawy Scores A Venomous Half Volley Against Chelsea

What is it with Roma players scoring worldies against Chelsea?!

Edin Dzeko netted a sublime volley at Stamford Bridge a couple of weeks back, and in tonight's game at the Stadio Olimpico, Stephan El Shaarawy opened the scoring 39 seconds in with a peach of a strike on the half volley.

The Italian international scored a stunner at the weekend in the Giallorossi's win over Bologna, and followed it up with an even better goal tonight.

The goal, which is the fastest scored in the Champions League this season, all started with a long pass from Aleksandar Kolarov up to Edin Dzeko. The big Bosnian looked to have miscontrolled the ball but it dropped perfectly for former AC Milan man El Shaarawy to run up and thwack an unstoppable outside of the boot effort past Thibaut Courtois.

An absolute thunderbastard - and one that really deserves Alan Partidge's "foot like a traction engine!" commentary.

Here's how Twitter reacted:

El Shaarawy then added a second in the 36th minute, capitalising on a mix-up in the Chelsea backline and poking home.
