There was never any doubt that Cristiano Ronaldo is a good footballer but perhaps Real Madrid underestimated his value when they sold him to Juventus this summer, as proved by both side's seasons so far.
Cristiano Ronaldo had a bit of a difficult start to his Juventus career when he went a massive three games without scoring after his move from Real Madrid in the summer.
Unsurprisingly the five time Ballon d'Or winner has turned things around somewhat in pretty quicktime. Already the 33 year old has five goals in 10 games, or five in his last seven games.
Ronaldo has made a career of scoring a ridiculous amount of goals, making his 40+ a season tallys into the norm rather than a stupendous feat of goalscoring the like of which has barely been seen before and is unlikely to be seen after.

The Portugal international's form has helped Juventus to record their best start to a season, winning their first 10 games of the season in all competitions before their surprise draw to Genoa at the weekend.
Real Madrid's fortunes have been completely the opposite. Julen Lopetegui's side broke a record at the weekend for the longest run for Los Blancos without scoring at 481 minutes.
Marcelo may have scored but Real lost and the Champions League holders have now recorded five games in a row without a win.

That total loss of form has led to rumours that Lopetegui will lose his job sometime in the near future with debate over whether it'll be before or after next weekend's Clasico.
You almost feel sorry for the former Porto boss. The form is dreadful but is it any wonder they are finding scoring difficult considering they lost a player who averaged 50 goals a season during his time at the Bernabeu and replaced him with Mariano Diaz, a player who has scored 20 goals or more in a season once in his career.
When Juve signed Ronaldo there were enough people questioning whether or not the £89 million was worth it or not for a 33 year old. Right now it seems to be that he was far more valuable to Real than that.

It's a big week for Real as they face Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League ahead of a Clasico that won't have Lionel Messi playing.
Ronaldo meanwhile makes a return to Old Trafford to face Manchester United before a trip to Empoli at the weekend.
Two clubs with their fortunes linked so closely to one player. The contrast is striking.
