Punter Has The Greatest Cash-Out Ever From A £1 Accumulator

Ever felt on top of the world when you've won about £30 from a bet?

Well, just imagine how this lucky punter felt when he had the greatest cash-out known to man!

An unnamed customer with Betfair put on a standard £1.00 accumulator on the Christmas period football, with 21 teams on his betting slip.

Had all of his results come in, he would have claimed a staggering £1.2m. But as is often the case in a lot of bets, teams let you down.

All was going well when Arsenal's Olivier Giroud scored a late header to sink West Brom. Two games were left to go and though there is always an urge to gamble and go one bigger and better, the cash-out proved to be an utter masterstroke.

Because in the dying embers of the Plymouth-Wycombe game, Wycombe's Myles Weston equalised to make it 3-3 and had the customer not used the cash-out function four minutes prior, his bet would have been in tatters.

Newcastle were also on his slip and they then lost their home game with Sheffield Wednesday, which also would have ruined his bet.

Yet because of his timely call, he scooped a massive £223k.
