Arsenal fans were always going to try and like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as much as they could however they didn't know that the former Borussia Dortmund striker was going to make it so easy for them.

Whenever a club signs a new exciting forward fans always want to love him, after all a player scoring goals is why we all fell in love with football, defending can be great but it doesn't replace the feeling of your team scoring.

It was always going to help Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang that he joined Arsenal when they couldn't get any lower, out of form and having seen their best player Alexis Sanchez move to rivals Manchester United, they really needed a boost.

Whilst things haven't always gone too well since he joined he was definitely doing the Lord's work on Easter Sunday. The Gabonese forward scored a brace and then let strike partner Alexandre Lacazette take a late penalty so the Frenchman could boost his own confidence with a goal.

So if Gunners' fans weren't already loving their forward today then the news of his hair would have put them over the edge. Aubameyang had the name 'Marina' shaved into his head in tribute to his grandmother who died last week:

The footballer best known for his changing hair was David Beckham, check out this video on the history of his dos:

Last week Aubameyang took to Instagram to pay tribute to her as well:

Because of his Spanish heritage through his grandmother Aubameyang could have played for Spain but recently revealed he chose Gabon so he could follow in his footsteps of playing for the African country.

Well played today Pierre.
