Neymar Sends Coutinho Message After He's Unveiled As Barca Player

The two have had their careers intertwined.

Neymar sent Philippe Coutinho a message after he was officially presented as a Barcelona player today following signing his contract.

Neymar and Coutinho are the same age and have come through the ranks together, progressing to become two of Brazil's superstars.

Following Coutinho's £142 million move from Liverpool, which puts him behind only his good pal Neymar when it comes to the most expensive players in football history, the PSG star, who had his fair share of success at the Nou Camp, took to Instagram stories to wish his international colleague well, but trolling him at the same time by ripping into his hair.

With the abysmal hairstyles he's had over the year, Neymar probably isn't in the best position to slate someone else's hair but Coutinho will have appreciated that message.

David Beckham knows a thing or two about dodgy hairstyles:

In fact, Neymar was one of the first to congratulate him on the message, according to Coutinho.

"Neymar congratulated me and told me there is an incredible team here," he is quoted as saying at a press conference today.

"Paulinho and Luis (Suarez, a former Liverpool teammate) already told me that and I hope that I can be very happy here."

Neymar scored 105 goals in 186 games for Barcelona, winning two La Liga titles and one Champions League prior to his world-record transfer away. But Coutinho isn't thinking about his companion and is only concentrating on himself.

"I play with Neymar for Brazil and we've been friends for years," he added.

"We're different players. He is obviously a great player but we have different qualities."
