Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has cemented himself amongst football's good guys by buying his former club a new training ground.

Aguero came through the ranks at Independiente in his homeland Argentina, making his debut in 2003 at the tender age of just 15.

And whilst he has previously signalled his intention to finish his career back at his old side, Aguero has proved he retains the same affection he always did for them, by paying for a new state of the art training complex, along with former Barcelona defender Gabriel Milito.

Aguero has a contract with City until 2019, and he has said that he will return to Argentina when that expires, by which time he'll be 31-years-old.

Officials at Manchester City will no doubt try to persuade him to postpone the move for another year or two, but by the looks of things he has his heart set on the move.

Currently on international duty with Argentina, Aguero was shown around the new training centre yesterday, and he said via the Manchester Evening News: "Independiente fans know I finish my career here.

"Seeing this makes me happy."

Independiente president Hugo Moyano added: "What they are doing is important for Independiente, priceless and will be remembered forever.

"This really shows the love for the institution - not just what they did on the pitch, but the love that they show the club. The fans are not going to forget it."
