Buffon Made Tal Ben Haim's Night With The Ultimate Compliment

For a professional footballer, the chance to make one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time look completely hapless doesn't come along every day, so when Israel's Tal Ben Haim chipped the great Gianluigi Buffon during Israel's 3-1 defeat to Italy, last night, he can't have believed his night could get any better. Until he bumped into the Italy captain in the tunnel, afterwards.

According to Rai Sport, Ben Haim approached Buffon in the tunnel as the teams headed off the pitch and asked the Juventus number one for his shirt as a memento from the game, only for the former Parma man to turn the request round onto the Israeli and tell him he should be asking for his shirt considering the quality of the goal he'd just scored.

The only problem for Ben Haim now is, where do you go from here? After all, it doesn't get much better than a World Cup winning legend asking for your shirt.
