A fan has created the ultimate compilation video to show off the 100 best pieces of skill that Lionel Messi used to 'impress the world.'

Reddit user u/valoriane shared a video counting down the 32-year-old Barcelona superstar's best moments across his illustrious career.

And the top ten includes famous moments like when Messi destroyed Jerome Boateng in Barcelona's 2015 Champions League semi-final clash with Bayern Munich at the Camp Nou.

Fans have been blown away by the skill of the Argentine forward and have praised his unbelievable ability on the ball.

"That is just insane. He's operating on a completely different plane[t] to the rest of us," user hcb8849 wrote.

Someone else posted: "He's also watching his teammate's movements while doing this. Insane skill."

A third added: "Messi's body feints look incredibly simple but they still fool top players. The only bad thing you could say about it is that it doesn't look very entertaining like a Ronaldinho trick, but only because there is so little wasted movement. It makes his opponents look like boys every time."

And Barca fan CruyffsPlan said: "I'm so glad I exist at the same time as this little man. I'm not even exaggerating but he's responsible for 85% of my happiness these days. We're all so lucky to witness him on a weekly basis. The perfect footballer."

Messi has missed Barcelona's opening two La Liga clashes due to a calf strain, but he could be fit in time for Saturday's clash with Osasuna.

But the five-time Ballon d'Or winner was in attendance for the Spanish champions' 5-2 victory over Real Betis on Sunday.

Messi, who sat alongside Luis Suarez at the Camp Nou, watched on as Antoine Griezmann scored a brace on his home debut and channelled his inner LeBron James for his celebration.

And the Barcelona captain's son Mateo also had a hilarious exchange with Suarez when he celebrated Betis scoring against his dad's side.

Will Messi finish the new season as Europe's top scorer?
