Mo Salah got to keep his first Premier League match ball after scoring a hat-trick for the first time for Liverpool. After the match all his teammates signed the ball and Jordan Henderson summed the Egyptian up perfectly in just a few words.

It's been well over 36 hours and it's still difficult to fully take in Mo Salah's performance against Watford on Saturday evening. There's been fewer complete performances in the Premier League in recent memory.

The former Roma winger scored four goals, over taking the injured Harry Kane in the top scorer charts for the season, and set up Roberto Firmino's goal in the Reds 5-0 hammering of the Hornets.

Salah would be proud of any of these goals:

Salah's hat-trick goal even had the entire football watching public aghast at how he actually scored when he was surrounded by five Watford defenders and had the keeper to beat.

His teammates were no doubt also in awe of him, as well as being indebted to him for getting their top four hopes back on track after the Old Trafford knock back. After the match Jordan Henderson confirmed all the players signed the match ball for Salah and Henderson summed up his teammate with his usual uncomplicated style, telling the Liverpool Echo:

"Everyone did (signed) the ball for him. I just kept it simple for him. I just said 'Well done superstar'."

Henderson also explained what it's like having the 25 year old in the team, adding, "For a start, it's the confidence. You have someone like Mo who does the hardest part of the game, which is putting the ball in the back of the net.

"You then, as a team, if we work as hard as we possibly can, then Mo - or even Sadio and Bobby - they are going to finish it in the final third. We had that with Luis.

"You know when you are walking out there are so many goals out there for you. It's just about defending well as a team because you know you will create chances."

Salah's goals at the weekend but him four clear of Kane for top scorer honours and he may not return for the rest of the season whilst he is also just four short of the record for most goals in a 38 game Premier League season.

It's quite an incredible season for Salah and it's surely between him and Kevin de Bruyne for player of the season, both of them certainly are 'superstars'.
