Joe Hart Borrows Cap From West Ham Fan In Shrewsbury Game

Joe Hart Borrows Cap From West Ham Fan In Shrewsbury Game

What a hero.

The sun came out at the New Meadow during Shrewsbury-West Ham in the FA Cup and Joe Hart did not have a cap with him in the first half.

But incredibly, the England No.1, making a return to his boyhood club, received one from a generous West Ham fan behind the goal.

Hammers fan Jack Martin-Kenny, in the away end for the game, took to Twitter to explain that he is the owner of the hat Hart was wearing to block out the sun, and that his mate threw it onto the pitch for the on-loan Manchester City shotstopper to use.

We saw a similar situation occur in the Yorkshire derby between Barnsley and Leeds in November, when visiting stopper Felix Wiedwald was given a helping hat by a fan in the away end - before he returned it after the game and gave the supporter his shirt.

It's happened again today, with Hart requiring the assistance from an Irons fan - and social media is absolutely loving it:

Brilliant to see. The cap appeared to have given Hart some magic powers too - as he made a couple of fine saves to keep out his former side in the first half.

He then returned the cap at half-time but surely it's only right he gives the giving fella his shirt/gloves at the end of the game?!
