It's a known fact that the Premier League's all-time top scorer Alan Shearer has never placed or curled a ball in his life. Literally every goal he scored was a net-buster. Even at close range, big Al would always rifle it in the back of the net instead of going for a cute finish.
Shearer has scored a formidable 260 goals in the English top flight and without a doubt one of his greatest thunderbastards came in a 2-1 win over Everton at St. James' Park in December 2002.
Following a long punt up the pitch, Shearer's strike partner Shola Ameobi got the knockdown and the ball dropped to the England legend.

These days, Shearer spends his time analysing games on Match of the Day and ruining people on twitter but we definitely preferred him banging in absolute screamers on the volley.
