Fan Calls For Premier League Years To Be Put On Netflix

A football fan is the latest person on social media to have the brilliant idea of calling for the Premier League years to be added to streaming service Netflix.

Football fans love nostalgia, even Manchester City fans love to look back on a time they weren't very good, and Sky Sports programme 'Premier League Years' gives fans the perfect dose.

Now one fan on Twitter is the latest in a long line to call for the show to be put onto Netflix, so the streets can remember the likes of Morten Gamst Pedersen, Matty Taylor and Jay-Jay Okocha on a more regular basis.

As well as reminding everyone about their favourite seasons growing up and watching the Premier League the programme has gathered quite the cult following on social media because of its layout.

The voiceover introduces each month of the season with a run down of what news was happening at the time outside of England's top tier.

The cult following, and becoming a meme, has come from the segwaying from tragic news to news about the Premier League.

Though this is the most recent call for the programme to appear on Netflix it's certainly not the first time.

Premier League years on Netflix would be absolutely brilliant. Just think about rewatching all those great goals, last day relegation survivals and for Manchester United fans a reminder of when their team was good and not run by Ed Woodward.

Sure it's a great idea but can someone make sure Dream Team and Renford Rejects gets put on their too.
