Manchester United won the first Manchester derby held outside of the United Kingdom, beating City 2-0 courtesy of goals in quick succession from Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford at the end of the first half.

But it was City youngster Phil Foden who made the biggest impression in the game.

The Stockport starlet, 17, was handed his first ever start for City in last night's game in Houston, Texas.

Even with it being a friendly, one would typically expect, and accept, a lad who only turned 17 in May to play within himself. After all, his first start for City came against arch-rivals Manchester United in front of 67,000 fans in attendance.

But that wasn't the case at all, as Foden was completely unfazed and churned in a performance that showed exactly why he is regarded as one of the gems in Manchester City's academy.

Foden, who has been with City since the age of five, looked completely at home in the first-team environment.

A diminutive attacking midfielder who glides across the pitch and possesses a wand of a left foot, his incredibly positive and forward-thinking approach caused plenty of problems for United's seasoned professionals - and Ander Herrera will want to forget one particular moment where he was completely rolled by the bright teenager in the first-half.

Using footage from MUTV, YouTuber Noveball has put together a compilation of Foden's best bits on his debut and it makes for lovely viewing.

Pep Guardiola is a huge admirer of the special talent and spoke glowingly about the display his prodigy served up in his 74 minutes on the pitch last night:

Social media, and City fans especially, were in awe of Foden after seeing him produce a performance that was beyond his years:

Remember the name!
