What a clip.

After angrily throwing a strop following defeat to Argentina a few nights ago, it was a much better night's work for Alexis Sanchez and Chile last night.

The 2015 and 2016 Copa America winners needed to get back to winning ways instantly in the South American qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup and did exactly that by ousting Venezuela 3-1 on home soil.

Sanchez, as he so often does, played a starring role and scored a gorgeous free-kick five minutes in.

The stunning strike means Alexis is now the joint-highest top scorer for Chile. He is currently tied with former Lazio striker Marcelo Salas, who has also netted 37 goals for his country.

Chile scored a wonderful team goal for the second, with Sanchez slipping through a deft pass to create the opening for Charles Aranguiz, who squared across goal for Esteban Paredes to double 'La Roja's' lead early in the second half.

Paredes bagged his second and Chile's third, with Sanchez registering the assist this time.

The Arsenal striker was also responsible for the best piece of play in the game.

A viral clip of Sanchez has been doing the rounds where the former Udinese man takes the ball down in the same fashion that Zinedine Zidane did in his prime, replicates Steven Gerrard when he slips and falls over before channeling his inner Ronaldinho with a filthy flip-flap to beat his defender.

Watch the five seconds of madness here:

Sanchez missed a penalty late in the game to make it 4-0 but considering he walloped in a belter of a free-kick and managed to turn into Zidane, Gerrard and Ronaldinho in five seconds, we'll let him off.
