David Silva joined an incredible list of names by becoming just the seventh player in Premier League history to register 90 or more assists, after setting up Sergio Aguero on Sunday.

Against Aston Villa Aguero's hat-trick made him the top scoring foreign player in Premier League history, the most hat-tricks and the joint fourth top scorer but he wasn't the only one making history.

Silva got his 90th assist of his 10 years in England when he set up his Argentine teammate for his second goal of the game and in doing so joined six others in reaching the landmark, with Steven Gerrard only two clear and Dennis Bergkamp's 94 still in range before the season is over.

Of the names on the list only Gerrard failed to win the Premier League during his time in England's top tier and it's a list of league legends.

Legend Giggs' longevity helps him with his assists coming at 0.26 assists per game for his 22 seasons in the Premier League, his first two seasons at United were in the old First Division.

Below him Fabregas comes in at 0.32 assists per game for both Arsenal and Chelsea and he has the best ratio of all the players on the list.

Only the Spaniard has a better ratio than Silva. The 34-year-old, who joined from Valencia in summer 2010, has reached the 90 assist mark at 0.30 assists per game.

That leaves him level with Dennis Bergkamp, who made 94 assists during his time in north London, and the four time Premier League winner could still catch him.

The World Cup winner is in his last season in the Premier League, with his contract running out at the end of the current campaign, and he is likely to return to Spain.

Despite his advancing years and getting less game time this season he still has seven assists this season alone, putting him joint third in the league.
