Frenkie De Jong Put In An Incredible Performance Against Juventus

Frenkie de Jong continued to impress with a brilliant performance in the Champions League against Juventus as Ajax and the Old Lady drew their quarter final 1-1.
In the second round of the Champions League this year Ajax caused the biggest upset, despite Manchester United's comeback against PSG, when they knocked out 13 time European champions Real Madrid. The win meant the competition would have a new winner for the first time in four years.
The win wasn't expected, especially after Real won the first leg in Amsterdam, and it shone a big light on the talents at the Johan Cruyff Arena that many weren't already aware of.
Frenkie de Jong was one of the players who took a lot of plaudits during the game and the 21 year old showed everyone why Barcelona have spent €75 million to take him to the Camp Nou in the summer.
If watching their future midfielder beat their rivals wasn't enough to put a smile on Barca faces then many would have wanted to see him do the same against Cristiano Ronaldo, and they weren't disappointed.
Ronaldo was on the scoresheet as the two sides drew 1-1 but it was De Jong's performance that once again took the headlines with some very impressive stats:

It's further proof of why there was such a rush to sign De Jong and why Barca were willing to push the boat out to sign the young Dutchman.
Meanwhile in Manchester his future employers were struggling against Manchester United. They may have won 1-0 but for large periods of the game their midfield was being bossed by United's pairing of Fred and Scott McTominay.
There's no doubt that De Jong has a huge future and it'll be interesting to see him at Barcelona.
