Radamel Falcao turned the clocks back tonight by scoring for Monaco in the Champions League - his first goal in the competition since 2010.

As you may recall, the Colombian striker was once the most feared player in his position on the planet, banging in goals for Porto and Atletico Madrid between 2009 and 2013, before moving to Monaco in a big-money transfer.

After just one year, Falcao headed to Manchester United and then Chelsea on loan but dogged by a knee injury, he managed just five Premier League goals in two seasons and it appeared we'd seen the best of the man known affectionately as 'El Tigre'.

However, perhaps his critics spoke too soon, because whilst his legs might not be what they once were, Falcao showed there's nothing wrong with his instincts:
