Thiago Alcantara has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool this summer and the Bayern Munich midfielder showed off his incredible skills in a training drill with Manchester City's Rodri.

The Spanish midfielder is currently on international duty as Luis Enrique prepares his squad for the beginning of the Nations League campaign with games against Germany and Ukraine.

A potential move to the Premier League clearly isn't playing on his mind, as he showed 'power, control and precision' whilst pinging and controlling the ball perfectly back and forth with his fellow midfielder.

After winning the Champions League for the second time just 10 days ago it seems like the 29-year-old is ready for the next stage of his career, after seven years with Bayern.

He is currently attracting interest from two English clubs with Liverpool thought to be favourites ahead of their long time rivals Manchester United.

The video clearly caught the eye of fans of the Premier League champions with one fan tagging the club's owner to give him a nudge saying, "@John_W_Henry look at this."

Another replied to the video saying, "Imaging Thiago doing this with Sadio Mane at Melwood or Kirkby."

A third added, "Liverpool better sign this c**t up that's all I want."

And another opined, "Ffs if we don't sign this player man..."

According to the reports the move to Anfield hinges on the fact that so far the Reds have been willing to match the £30 million asking price for the 29-year-old.

However that could change with the news that new Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman wants to bring in fellow Dutchman Georginio Wijnaldum from Liverpool.

That move would free up funds for Jurgen Klopp to bring in Thiago and freshen up his midfield.

United's need for a midfielder has been somewhat softened by the incoming addition of Donny van de Beek, from Ajax for around £40 million, but that hasn't stopped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side being linked to a player they tried to sign from Barcelona under David Moyes.

With skills like the one in the video it's easy to see why any side would be interested in him.
