Trent Alexander-Arnold has been the centre of lots of debate in the past couple of weeks, and one fan has proved that the Liverpool full back can definitely defend.

Gareth Southgate chose to leave Alexander-Arnold out of his England squad a couple of weeks ago, meaning he missed out on England's opening three World Cup qualifiers.

That has led to plenty of debate about the 22-year-old's chances of going to the Euros as part of Southgate's squad this summer.

On Monday night, Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher were the latest people to get into the debate, with the former Liverpool defender saying it would be 'embarrassing' if Kieran Trippier was picked ahead of the Premier League winner.

Explaining why Southgate might not take Trent, Neville said, "I'm saying to myself: who are England going to be playing? Germany. Belgium. France. Portugal.

"Who is he going to be playing against? Hazard. Mbappe. Sane. Jota. Ronaldo.

"Who do they want to play against? James, Walker or Trent? They'll say: 'I'll let Trent go forward, he'll leave space in behind me. I'll have Trent'."

However one fan has put together a 10 minute highlights package of exactly how good a defender Alexander-Arnold can be.

Alexander-Arnold was criticised by fans earlier in the season for not reaching the levels he'd hit in the previous campaigns for Jurgen Klopp's side, where he was integral to Champions League and Premier League success.

That drop in form, combined with England's abundance of right backs, has led to talk of him missing out on the Three Lions' squad for the summer.

Kyle Walker, Reece James and Trippier were included in the last squad, whilst Aaron Wan-Bissaka is amongst several uncapped full backs who have been talked about.
