Cristiano Ronaldo Rolled Back The Years With Insane Skill To Destroy Swiss Defender

It was a big mistake to have a one-on-one showdown with Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo when he is in this kind of mood. Take a bow, son!

Cristiano Ronaldo tore it up for Portugal with a show-stealing individual performance after scoring a hat-trick in the Nations League semi-finals.

While he was booking his side's spot in the final, the 34-year-old Portugal captain was also destroying a Switzerland player's career.

Case in point: footage has been posted online of the Juventus ace dribbling down the wing, with Switzerland players scurrying back to defend from the Portugal threat.

One brave player, Kevin Mbabu, decided to run down and challenge Ronaldo in a one-on-one showdown, only to find that he decided to roll back the years.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star left the player looking hopeless with his challenge when he pulled the ball back, only to dribble the ball past him when he recovered and then he whipped a cross into the box.

Okay, the ball into the box wasn't that amazing, but the bit of showboating was nothing short of vintage Ronaldo.

Check it out below.

Take a bow, son!

Ronaldo opened the scoring at the Estádio do Dragão when he fired in a superb free-kick in the first half.

With Switzerland pulling back on level terms thanks to Ricardo Rodríguez's penalty in the second half, the 2016 Euro champions had their advantage restored thanks to Ronaldo.

He completed his brace when he neatly finished the ball past Yann Sommer before returning to complete his hat-trick.

Portugal will now play against England or the Netherlands on Sunday in the inaugural Nations League final.
