Deportivo Substitutes Are All Impressed With Clarence Seedorf's Brilliant Touch

The former Real Madrid and AC Milan midfielder proved that he's still got it even if he's just the manager now.

We never know if the best footballers will make the best managers but based on Clarence Seedorf's beautiful touch in the technical area we can be pretty sure he's still one of the best players at the club.

What a footballer Clarence Seedorf was. The Dutch midfielder won the Champions League with three different club, a feat that hasn't been copied by anyone else, as well as numerous other accolades in his career.

He might be 42 now and not played since retiring after a sting in Brazil in 2014 but the former Real Madrid midfielder has proved in some charity games since that he could still do a job for someone.

Now though the classy midfielder has hung up his boots and swapped his kit for a suit as a manger. He's had a spell with AC Milan, Shenzhen in the Chinese Super League and now he's in charge of Deportivo la Coruna.

Depor are currently trying to stave off relegation from the Spanish top tier and they did their chances no hard at the weekend by beating Athletic Bilbao 3-2, although they still need to make up five points from the final six games.

However their win wasn't the most impressive part of the game. Instead that went to Seedorf's brilliant touch in the technical area. The manager's cheeky smile and the reaction of his bench are utterly priceless:

There's just something wonderful about a man in his 40's showing he's still got that kind of touch in his locker. That skill should have been met with "you've still got it" chants from the whole crowd.

Depor continue their desperate attempts to stay in La Liga tonight when they face Sevilla and in their remaining six matches they must also face Barcelona and Valencia, it's a situation that looks unlikely they can turn around.

It's a shame to see them such a shadow of their former selves. They won La Liga in 2000 at the start of a run that saw them finish inside the top three for five years in a row.

They've since been down to the second tier in Spain twice in 2011/12 and 2013/14 and it looks like they're set for third season there, still they'll have the most skillful manager.
