Compilation Shows How Mohamed Salah Is Being 'Let Down' By Teammates

Liverpool have had problems up front, as well as in defence, but it looks like Mohamed Salah is creating enough opportunities.

Mohamed Salah is being 'let down' by his Liverpool teammates, that's the theory of one compilation video that shows just how many chances he is creating.

Liverpool's defensive issues this season have been well documented, with Jurgen Klopp fielding 20 different centre back partnerships this season due to injuries.

However the Premier League champions have also had issues up front and have only scored 11 times in the previous 14 league games, since beating Crystal Palace 7-0 in December.

The Reds front three of Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino haven't quite been up to their usual standards, but it seems it's not so much the Egyptian.

Salah is the league's top scorer and one fan has put together a compilation of all the chances squandered by his teammates that the former Chelsea player has created.

Tuesday's Champions League win over RB Leipzig was a perfect example of Klopp's squandering chances, despite advancing to the quarter finals.

Like in the first leg, Salah and Mane both scored to secure a 2-0 win in Hungary, but the seven times European champions easily could have scored more.

They had 12 attempts, of which seven were on target, and had to wait till late in the game to guarantee their qualification.

The 28-year-old has continued his excellent form from the past few seasons and has scored 25 goals in all competitions already, although he only has four assists, rather backing up the point of the video.

That means the former Roma winger has already bettered his tally from last season, when Liverpool won the league and is just two goals short of the season before when they finished second and won the Champions League.

He would still have to go some way to beat his record 44 goals in his first season at Anfield.

Salah might have had more goals if Liverpool had won a couple more penalties. Michael Owen recently claimed Mane wasn't going to ground when fouled to stop his teammate increasing his lead for the league Golden Boot.

However the former Southampton forward is 10 short of his teammate and 11 behind his personal tally from the title winning season last year.
