Serge Gnabry Claims Ousmane Dembele Is 'Much Better' Than Kylian Mbappe, Joshua Kimmich Gets P****d Off With TV Debate

Joshua Kimmich claimed he would take Bayern Munich teammates Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman over Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele.

Bayern Munich teammates Serge Gnabry and Joshua Kimmich were deeply divided on their opinions over a Kylian Mbappe vs Ousmane Dembele debate.

Gnabry made a bold claim that Barcelona star Dembele is “much better” than France teammate Mbappe, who is one of Europe’s fastest-rising stars.

However, Kimmich didn’t share the view of the 26-year-old Bayern winger and was not happy with the discussion.

Kimmich and Gnabry appeared on Amazon Prime Video alongside Bayern teammates Thomas Muller and Kingsley Coman.

“Dembele is much better than Mbappe,” Gnabry said in the TV documentary.

Muller entered the conversation and suggested that he “would be better” if he could dribble like Dembele.

The 32-year-old Bayern star responded: “What do you mean, better? If I could dribble like Dembele, I would be better too.”

Kimmich passed up the opportunity to hand his verdict down on Mbappe and instead focused on Dembele.

The 26-year-old Germany international claimed that he wouldn’t pick Barcelona winger Dembele ahead of Gnabry or Coman.

“If I am asked to choose between Dembele and Gnabry or Coman, I would always take Gnabry or Coman,” Kimmich said.

“This Dembele discussion p****s me off!”

Dembele has been hit with multiple injuries during his time at the Camp Nou and failed to replicate his Borussia Dortmund form at Barcelona on a regular basis.

The 24-year-old Frenchman, who was signed from Dortmund in 2017, is free to speak with foreign clubs from January ahead of his contract expiring in 2022.

However, Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman is keen for the La Liga club to push ahead with a new contract for Newcastle-linked Dembele.

“We want Dembele to stay. He's an important player who brings something different in attack,” he said at a press conference on Tuesday.

“We want him to sign a new contract but if he doesn't want to, we as a club have to assess the situation. We still think he could renew.”

Mbappe, much like Dembele, will be out of contract next summer and is free to sign a pre-contract from January.

The 22-year-old Paris Saint-Germain superstar has hinted at his desire to leave the Parc des Princes amid fierce speculation linking him with Real Madrid.
