Roy Keane's Savage Harry Kane Spurs Dig Absolutely Finished Ian Wright

Roy Keane's Savage Harry Kane Spurs Dig Absolutely Finished Ian Wright

Roy Keane made a comment about Harry Kane and Spurs on ITV and Ian Wright was in stitches.

Roy Keane's savage dig at Harry Kane and Tottenham had Ian Wright laughing his head off on ITV last night.

The no-nonsense Irishman was on punditry duty for England's 5-0 thrashing of Albania at Wembley last night and produced plenty of gold as per usual.

England skipper Harry Kane went on to score a first-half hat-trick to take his Three Lions tally to 44 but before the game Keane issued a brutal put-down.

In discussing Kane's recent form, the former Manchester United captain mentioned the lack of trophies for the 28-year-old at club level.

"He's [Kane] got to liven up, he's got to liven up," Keane said.

"He's got to look at himself and say ‘Get over these disappointments’ - listen, he plays for Spurs he should be used to disappointment, it's not like they win stuff.

"Get back to the basics, get hold of the ball, show some sort of leadership skills and no more excuses."

And Arsenal legend Wright enjoyed the comment very much, creasing as soon as the words came out of Keane's mouth.

The man in the middle of Keane and Wright was former England striker Jermain Defoe, who had two spells at Tottenham and scored 143 goals overall.

He said, "What's he laughing at?" in response to Wright, who cackled once again.

Keane also laid into Harry Maguire yet again, this time taking issue with the Manchester United skipper's celebration after scoring the opener.

Maguire cupped his ears after heading home from a Reece James free-kick, seemingly responding to critics.

Typically, Keane, who even did an impersonation of Maguire last month, called the defender "embarrassing" and said he had been a "disgrace" for United in recent times.
