Cristiano Ronaldo Has Teased The Return Of An Iconic Look And Fans Are Very Excited

Cristiano Ronaldo wore a hat during Manchester United training to avoid his hair dye running.

Cristiano Ronaldo wore a hat to avoid his hair dye running down his face in Manchester United training and fans think it points towards him returning to an iconic look.

During a session ahead of United's Champions League group stage trip to Atalanta this evening, Ronaldo was seeing sporting a woolly hat.

In footage posted online, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner told his teammates he put the hat on so he didn't have dye running down his face while he trained in the rain.

"Otherwise the hair dye leaks bro," Ronaldo said in Portuguese.

"I'll be like Trump's secretary (Rudy Giuliani) with the running down my face."

And fans in the replies reckon the 36-year-old is returning to the noodle-like trim that made him a "demon" in the Champions League.

Ronaldo burst onto the scene with the noodle cut as a scrawny teenager who just loved busting out stepovers, even telling his United teammates he would the best player in the world.

He then revisited the style with blonde highlights during his glittering stint at Real Madrid, putting a modern twist on the trim and performing in high-pressure moments on the biggest stage.

But if he reverts back to the cut in his second spell at United, wearing the No.7 on his back, then it will bring about some serious nostalgia from fans.

Ronaldo has scored seven goals in ten appearances back at United, including a glorious volley to open the scoring in the 3-0 win over Spurs on Sunday.

The worldie strike came 18 years after he opened his account for United with a free-kick against Portsmouth on 1 November.
