Bayern Munich's defence will have to be at their best against Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday but Bayern winger Serge Gnabry thinks another player is the Reds main man.
It's not often that a team would have been happy to be drawn against Bayern Munich in the Champions League knockout stages but Liverpool could have done a lot worse when the German champions came out alongside them back in December.
This season has been a tricky one for the Bundesliga champions and there's a good chance they won't end up as champions for the first time in seven years when it comes to May.
Niko Kovac's side are in transition in his first season in charge of the club and they currently trail rivals Dortmund by two points, with the league leaders having a game in hand.
Liverpool on the other hand are having their best season for a while and are well in the chase to win the title for the first time in 29 years.
Jurgen Klopp's side were all about attack last season but the balance with a better defence is what has made them title contenders.
However even with players like Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson, Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane all on form it's another player catching the eye of one of Bayern's.
Speaking to Goal, Serge Gnabry revealed Georginio Wijnaldum is the Reds' key player, saying:
"Georginio Wijnaldum. When I watch Liverpool games, he's everywhere.
"He works in the background, bridging the spaces between defence and midfield and has a very large impact on the Liverpool game."
Gnabry also discussed his sides tag as the outsiders in the tie, saying, "I do not think the public is wrong. Liverpool is playing a very strong season, you cannot deny that.
"That's okay. But that does not mean that we go into the game and say, 'There is nothing to get.' On the contrary: We have our strengths, we are Bayern. Everything is possible."
Gnabry has done well to go from a player who couldn't get in West Brom's team when on loan at the Hawthorns to an important player for Bayern.
The 23 year old has started 12 games for the Bundesliga side this season, scoring five goals and assisting twice.
