Ole Gunnar Solskjær's Hilarious Response To A Journalist Who Supports Liverpool

Just like Gary Neville and Rio Ferdinand, Ole Gunnar Solskjær is a Manchester United legend who fully embraces the Liverpool rivalry.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær is enjoying life in the Manchester United dugout after his side have secured back-to-back wins under his management.

However, the 45-year-old Norwegian will know how important it is for him to walk away with bragging rights when he faces Liverpool as caretaker manager.

The former Red Devils star lived through the rivalry between the two clubs during his time at Old Trafford. Even after he ended his career at United, Solskjær did not put the past behind him.

Journalist JJ Devaney knows all about that, especially after he had the chance to meet Solskjær back in 2013.

"I went up and there were a few journalists gathered around," he told Caught Offside (via the Manchester Evening News).

"You know me in social situations -- shameless and straight to the point -- so I stuck out my hand and I said, 'Ole, I'm delighted to meet you.'

"And he fixed me with those blue eyes and they are kind of piercing and he does look younger than the age he actually is.

"So I shook hands with him and said, 'Listen, I thought you were a fantastic player, brilliant player and even though I'm a Liverpool fan, I just wanted to shake your hand.'

"You would think that's really nice. He didn't move a muscle in that face. His eyes fixed on me and he said, straight up, with no jocularity: 'If I'd known you were a Liverpool fan, I wouldn't have shaken your hand.'"

Following on from the sacking of José Mourinho, United appointed Solskjær as manager until the end of the season.

United thrashed Cardiff City 5-1 in his first match in charge. For his home debut, Solskjær picked up his second consecutive victory after the Red Devils beat Huddersfield 3-1.

Where will United finish in the Premier League this season?
