Gary Neville will be even less popular in Liverpool after suggesting that Manchester United's best chance of finishing in the top four is by resting players in the Manchester derby.
It's not a great season for Manchester United. Not only are their team struggling to finish in the Premier League's top four spots, and earn a place in next season's Champions League, but they've also got to watch their two biggest rivals duke it out for the title.
Gary Neville once described the choice of Manchester City or Liverpool winning the title as trying to choose between two men which one would sleep with your wife, it's not a great place to be for United fans.

The dilemma was highlighted by Sunday's game between Liverpool and Chelsea. On the one hand it was arguably the Reds' toughest match in the run in, on the other hand the Blues are contending with United for a place in the top four.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team still have to play City in eight days time during a run that sees them play Barcelona, Everton, City and Chelsea in 10 days and, speaking on Sky Sports, Gary Neville explained why the derby is the time to rest players, saying:
"If they lose to Chelsea but beat City they are in the top four. So [Jamie] Carragher has got his head in his hands here but my point is in terms of priorities, if they were to win the game at Everton on Sunday, the match to change things around would be the City game.
"You cannot play the same players during four games in eleven days. If they beat Everton, my thought would be that they make two or three changes against City whilst still trying to get the result."
The former United defender does have a point about needing to beat Chelsea and about not being able to pick the same XI for all the games but his idea clearly didn't go down well with Jamie Carragher.

In fact the former Liverpool defender reckons the whole world is against the Reds including Sky Sports, something Neville definitely disagrees with:
There's really no scenario that suits United perfectly and quite frankly they'd rather not have to choose which of their rivals end up winning the league.
Will United manage to finish in the top four?
