Pep Guardiola kicked off a week long build up to Manchester City's game against Liverpool by taking a dig at the Reds' diving. Now one fan of Jurgen Klopp's side has claimed Guardiola and City fans are 'hypocrites.'

Following City's win over Southampton on Saturday, Guardiola took a dig at this weekend's opponents by saying, "Sometimes it is diving, sometimes it is this talent to score incredible goals in the last minute."

The dig came after Sadio Mane had been booked for diving against Aston Villa on Saturday and the league leaders required goals in the 87th and 94th minute goal to beat Villa.

With claims of diving and luck from City fans at the Reds, one fan of Klopp's side has put together a thread that shows City fans to be 'hypocrites' for their criticism of Liverpool.

Following Pep's dig about diving Klopp responded saying, "I couldn't really believe it to be honest and then I saw it. I am not sure if Pep spoke in that moment about Sadio or the team - both is not too nice to be honest. I am not too sure if I want to put oil on the fire. I am not interested in these kind of things. And I promise not to mention tactical fouls. That is maybe already too much."

Despite being unbeaten and top of the league there has been some close games for the European champions in recent weeks and they've been somewhat fortunate in games against Leicester City, Manchester United, Spurs, Sheffield United and Villa.

Who will come out on top on the weekend?
