Stoke Police Brilliantly Troll Arsenal Player's Performance In Loss

Arsene Wenger's men were far from their best against Stoke and one man in particular came in for some flack, even from the police.

Woop, woop- it's the sound of da police. An even more familiar sound was that of Arsenal fans reacting once their team had again failed to pick up points away against Stoke City. One fan was ready to complain, before a brutal reply from the Stoke police.

How quickly can pre-season excitement evaporate? In the first weekend of the Premier League Arsenal came pretty close to not making it a whole match but just prevailed in a 4-3 over Leicester City.

So to the Bet365 arena where Arsenal had only been successful on two of their 10 appearances in all competitions since Stoke came up to the Premier League, not exactly the place Arsene Wenger would want to visit so early in the season.

And so it proved with Mark Hughes' side coming out as 1-0 winners, quieting those pundits who are certain they're ripe for relegation this season. The win was down to new signing Jese Rodriguez' first goal, with a little help from the officials.

Alexandre Lacazette was unlucky to have a goal disallowed for offside, although it was the correct decision, but even worse was the decision not to award a penalty when Mame Biram Diouf brought down Hector Bellerin and one fan took to Twitter to complain about his club being robbed:

But the Stoke Police were quick to reply:

Ozil was, as is the usual when it comes to Arsenal loss, blamed by the Gunners faithful on social media for his perceived lack of trying but probably wasn't the worst player on the pitch for Wenger's side.

Never mess with the Stoke police on Twitter!
