Real Madrid Twitter Account Declares They've Signed Lionel Messi After Hack

The Champions League champions aren't the first team to be attacked by the group who also leaked episodes of Game of Thrones.

Just how good are your passwords? That's the question that one hacker group are clearly asking about some of the biggest accounts on the internet and their latest target was Real Madrid.

We use the internet for everything from online banking to desperately trying to get a date and everything in between, if you're anything like me then the banking and dating apps are connected by how depressing they are to visit.

But how many of us change our passwords as regularly as we should or use a different password for every different account we own? Probably not as many of us as should.

The helpful chaps at hacker group OurMine have been simply pointing out the flaws in internet security of some big accounts by hacking them and posting something.

Barcelona came under 'attack' when their account announced the signing of Angel di Maria but more amusingly now is Real Madrid's new signing announcement of Lionel Messi.

Of course the difference between the two side's hacks is that Barcelona have genuinely been linked with Di Maria whereas there's more chance of me getting a date from my banking app than Los Blancos actually signing Messi.

Although you still imagine that some fans of either clubs felt their heart rates change dramatically when they saw the tweet, there must have been a Barca fan somewhere who just threw his phone at the wall.

As annoying as the hacks might be for football teams they aren't anywhere near as impactful as they are for HBO as the people at OurMine managed to get their hands on an episode of the current series of Game of Thrones and leaked it before it was due to be released.

Now is it time that you changed your passwords or are you going to risk it?
