Mesut Ozil Proves He's Got No Chill With Savage Response To Piers Morgan

The Arsenal midfielder isn't in the club's Premier League squad but that won't stop him showing off his skills during the game.

Mesut Ozil showed he's just as sharp as ever, despite not playing for months, by coming up with the best comeback at Arsenal fan Piers Morgan.

The World Cup winner isn't in Mikel Arteta's Premier League squad this season and played no minutes of football when football returned from lockdown in June, so it's been some time since he last played a game.

With lots of free time on his hands Ozil has turned to Twitter to fill his days, live tweeting Arsenal games amongst other football related posts.

On Sunday evening he tweeted 'Let's gooooo' in support of the Gunners, ahead of their game against Leeds United in the Premier League.

Good Morning Britain presenter Morgan quote tweeted the German telling him to go 'for your sake and Arsenal's.'

Ozil didn't take too kindly to being told to leave the club, when he clearly has no plans to exit the Emirates Stadium, and quote tweeted the former News of the World editor with an incredible reply.

Referring to the controversy surrounding allegations of phone hacking whilst he was editor of the Daily Mirror, that Morgan denies having any part in, Ozil asked if it was really the television host who tweeted.

Morgan attempted his own witty response but it fell far short of the blow he'd just been dealt by the former Real Madrid star.

Morgan attempted a second retort, presumably after realising how weak his original one was, telling Ozil to train harder and he might get picked, forgetting of course that isn't possible until January.

The 2008 US Celebrity Apprentice winner, who was called "ruthless, arrogant, evil and obnoxious" by Donald Trump on the show, of all people, is well known for being a fan of the north London club.

He was particularly vocal during the final years of Arsene Wenger's time at the club, becoming staunchly 'Wenger Out.'
