Real Madrid's win in the Champions League final on Saturday made them the most dominant team in Europe and for one of their players it likely means another Ballon d'Or trophy, and doesn't he just know it!

Defending the Champions League on Saturday made history for Real Madrid as no club had done it in the current era when it is arguably more difficult to do so than ever before.

The title of Europe's best team has gone to Los Blancos for three of the past four seasons and it's nigh on impossible to argue how dominant they've been in the continent in that time.

One man who has shone in that time is of course Cristiano Ronaldo who stole the headlines once again at the weekend with two goals in the 4-1 win over Juventus, the first and third goals for his side.

And that likely means a fifth Ballon d'Or title for him when the award is handed out at the end of the year and at the title celebration at the Bernabeu the crowd and the player knew it.

Ronaldo let out his infamous "siiiiiii" on stage and then the fans started singing "Cristiano, Ballon d'Or" so he decided to join in before being mugged my his teammates doing the same.

It won't exactly come as a shock to anyone if the former Manchester United winger wins his fifth Ballon d'Or and level with Lionel Messi.

In the last nine years the pair have shared the trophy and it's almost become a battle to which one of them will win more trophies that season to decide who will win the personal glory.

However Ronaldo's own celebration still caused the ire of many rival fans:

Some people take this whole thing a little too seriously, don't they.

Does anyone genuinely think that Ronaldo isn't winning the Ballon d'Or?!
