Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will continue to be compared with each other until the end of time, now one fan has compared the two players goals and assists by age.
With five Ballon d'Ors each and a slew of incredible records between them Ronaldo and Messi are, in some ways, unlucky to exist at the same time as they can't get away from each other.
There's arguments for both men being the best out of the two of them, or the best ever. Now one Reddit user has compared each man's record of goals and assists by age, and Ronaldo hasn't led since they were 21.
Even some of the stats we already knew look crazy again when put in this format, with the fact that Messi became Barcelona's top scorer of all time before the age of 25 jumping out, just six months older than when Ronaldo joined Real Madrid.

Again that Ronaldo broke the Real all time goal record after being at the club around six years is also an incredible feat, shown by the fact his 450 goals come from 438 games and in second place Raul's 323 goals came in 741 games.
According to the graph Messi is almost 50 goals, combined scored and assists, clear of his rival despite the two year age gap between them.
After winning the Ballon d'Or for ten years in-a-row, between them, five each, their run finally came to an end last year when Luka Modric won both the Ballon d'Or and FIFA 'The Best Men's Player of the Year' awards, with Messi not even making the top three.

This year their dominance is once again under threat. The two forwards missed out to Virgil van Dijk in the UEFA Player of the Year awards and the same top three are up for the Ballon d'Or, to be named later this month.
Messi's claim to this year's title comes mainly from his performances in La Liga, with Barca failing to win the Copa del Rey or Champions League final and Argentina failing to win the Copa America.
Ronaldo won Serie A with Juventus but failed to help them end their 23 year run without the Champions League, however he did help Portugal win the finals of the Nations League.
