Troy Deeney loves nothing more than winding Arsenal players and fans up, whether he's doing it on purpose or not. Now Danny Welbeck has hit back at the Watford man's latest comments about the England team.

Last season one of the best feuds of the season was Troy Deeney and Arsenal. When Watford beat the Gunners' thanks to his second half goal off the bench the Hornet's front man buried them in his post match interview.

Deeney said that he knew he could come on and bully their defenders because they lacked 'cojones' a line that clearly wound up a few people.

In the return fixture at the Emirates the 30 year old had the chance to score from the penalty spot but his penalty was saved by Petr Cech, cue a lot of gotten to fans tweeting about he didn't have the 'cojones' to score, or some nonsense.

This year the former Walsall striker insinuated that Danny Welbeck shouldn't have been in the England squad having not played this season, with the likes of himself, Callum Wilson and Danny Ings all playing first team football.

Now ahead of Arsenal's game against Watford at the weekend Welbeck has responded, saying:

"'It is for Gareth to decide who he picks in the squad, not for me or you to say. What I can do is just focus on me, not focus on anything else that is the most important thing."

Asked about his lack of game time the former Manchester United forward said, "You have got to wait for your opportunity. A few of the lads had a bit more of a pre-season than me which made it a bit difficult, I came back a bit later than the others. ' got 90 minutes last week [in the Europa League], 90 minutes today [in the Carabao Cup] and I'm just going to build on it from there and keep improving."

Welbeck was part of the England squad that went to the World Cup last summer despite the fact that most of his appearances were off the bench last season.

You just know that Deeney will score or be involved in an incident at the weekend, it's how things seem to be going now.
