Arsenal fans would have felt Troy Deeney's 'cojones' claim came back to bite him on Sunday when their side beat Watford and the striker missed the penalty but after the match they were all friends again.

Earlier this season Watford came from behind to beat Arsenal late in the game with Arsene Wenger turning his attention to a penalty incident as the reason why his side lost the match.

Troy Deeney turned him vs Arsenal into one of football's biggest rivalries, here's our list of some of the best others:

Watford striker Troy Deeney turned himself into enemy of the state, and the Gunners have often been a bit of a state this season, by "I'm not going to be one to tell Mr Wenger about himself, but there's a reason that they lost and it wasn't because of one penalty.

"I have to watch what I say, but it's [having] a bit of cojones, is what I'll say. Whenever I play against Arsenal, I'll go up and think 'let me whack the first one and see who wants it.'"

So it was unsurprising that Petr Cech saving Deeney's penalty on Sunday earned the biggest cheer of the day at the Emirates.

After the match though Deeney was filmed by Arsenal Fan TV meeting Gunners' fans, posing for photos and when asked 'how big are your cojones' was heard answering 'as big as yours'.

Arsenal ended their run of three successive Premier League losses by beating Watford 3-0 with Shkodran Mustafi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan with Deeney missing his spot kick at 2-0.

Fair play to Deeney for fronting up when he knew he would get a lot of abuse for missing the penalty.
