Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has rubbed the club's fans up the wrong way - after stories emerged claiming he'd demanded a release clause in his new contract.
The 23-year-old Germany international has started the season in blistering form and finally looks like developing into the dominant all-round midfielder that his potential has hinted at for several years.
But his current contract runs out in the summer of 2018, and in order to avoid losing his for free, the club's board have been trying hard to negotiate a new deal - only for talks to hit a brick wall.
